OUR HISTORY AND PRINCIPLES

Chelsea Driving School was established in the borough of Kensington & Chelsea in 2011 by one of the best qualified driving instructors in London. His mission was to offer a premium service to the residents of that part of town who demand only the best and insist on a level of customer care and personal service that simply was not available at that time. As word spread of a different way and new approach to learning to drive it quickly became clear that the rest of South West London wanted what the people of Chelsea were being offered. In order to satisfy demand and offer lessons throughout the wider South West London area, more instructors were taken on, but only those of the very highest calibre who were able to offer the same high standards of driving tuition and customer service that is, and always will be, the hallmark of Chelsea Driving School.

Our bespoke driver training tailored to your needs and requirements.

Chelsea Driving School is dedicated to offering a new way to learn how to drive in London, Surrey and Sussex – tailored entirely to you!

Our highly skilled and experienced instructors will design a bespoke driver training plan for you to maximise the hours you spend in the car with them and get you to where you want to be in your driving education as quickly as possible.

Lessons will be arranged at your convenience and we can pick you up and drop you off at the start and the end of the lesson at any local location you desire, be it home, work, school, college – you choose (Please inform your Instructor in advance)! You will retain the same instructor where possible, should you choose to, throughout your series of lessons to maintain continuity and so that you can develop a relationship of trust with your driving instructor.

No two lessons will ever be the same and unlike some driving schools we do not simply teach you to drive the local driving test route! We operate in one of the busiest metropolitan areas in the world and believe that learning to drive in it safely requires you to experience all it has to offer so should you wish we will make sure you have experienced the likes of Hyde Park Corner, Marble Arch, Sloane Square, Kings Road, the A3 or many of the other challenging roads and routes in London, Surrey and Sussex.

Should you need help with your theory test we have a multitude of exercises and training tools to help you including written material and online assistance we can make available.

Before going for your test one of our Grade A instructors will take you on a full mock test (on request) to give a second opinion on where you are at and provide any additional tips to ensure that when you do go for your test you are fully ready and will pass first time!

Of course passing your driving test as quickly as possible is important and currently our first time pass rate is very high. However as you can see from the multitude of different driving teaching we do, we aim to make sure that should you wish you take your driving education as far as you want in as much time as you require.

We always receive good feedback from the driving test examiners that our pupils test with.

OUR INSTRUCTORS

Chelsea Driving School is well established and our driving instructors in most cases have many years of teaching experience in London with ourselves, or alternatively with their previous leading national driving schools. Most of our instructors are Grade A trained, the highest possible qualification available in the industry and a standard that allows us to actually instruct people in how to become a driving instructor (see our ‘Instructor Training‘ page for details).

Instructors are hand picked for their friendly, supportive, encouraging teaching style and while learning to drive may to some be approached with trepidation we will make sure that the experience is as positive, enjoyable and rewarding as possible.

The majority of our pupil introductions come from recommendations from existing people under instruction and successful pass candidates and this is testament to the positive experience that we believe our instructors always provide. All of our cars are of the highest quality and standard and the majority are no more than 3 years old in order to provide you an excellent first driving experience.
